Etrian Odyssey 3 Translation Notes
- Latin Sail (ラティーンセイル)
- Not strictly wrong, but it's far more often called a Lateen Sail.
- Hobblegeon (ホバルジェオン)
- Should be Haubergeon.
- B16F B-7 Door
- The message when first examining it begins with: "The door before you with the odd elephant on it" (怪しげな像がはめこまれた扉). 像 has been mistaken for 象; it's a statue, not an elephant.
- Hidden Pit Message
- Perhaps this is pedantic, but the phrasing "The floor gives way as you realize..." implies that you realize you've fallen into a trap and, during that, you fall into the trap. "As the floor gives way, you realize..." would make more sense.
- Kukuri (ククリ)
- Kukri is the common English spelling, and khukurī would be a more faithful (IAST) romanization of खुकुरी. "Kukuri" is neither. (Aspiration matters in Indic languages! Without it, this sounds like कुकुर "dog".)
